Is there anything better than a warm brownie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top?
If there is I sure haven’t found it yet. This is definitely one of my favorite desserts, and this year my husband requested it for his birthday dessert and I was happy to oblige.
I love this recipe, the final product is chewy and delicious and fudgy, which I know isn’t a word but it applies here. They are fudgy and gooey and just so yummy.
Brownies, those delectable squares of chocolatey goodness, hold a special place in the hearts (and stomachs) of dessert enthusiasts worldwide. First and foremost, their irresistibly rich and fudgy texture is an unparalleled delight. Their ability to be customized with various toppings, mix-ins, and flavors only adds to their charm, ensuring there’s a brownie out there for everyone.
In addition to their divine taste and adaptability, brownies also possess the magical power to evoke nostalgia and create cherished memories. For many, the aroma of freshly baked brownies wafting through the kitchen is a nostalgic reminder of childhood days spent eagerly awaiting a warm batch to come out of the oven. Whether baked by a loved one or enjoyed at a favorite bakery, brownies have a unique ability to transport us back to simpler times and evoke feelings of warmth and happiness.
Moreover, the simplicity of brownie recipes makes them accessible to bakers of all skill levels, from novice to expert. With just a few basic ingredients like flour, sugar, eggs, and of course, chocolate, anyone can whip up a batch of these delightful treats in no time. Whether you prefer the ease of a boxed mix or the satisfaction of homemade from scratch, the process of making brownies is as enjoyable as the end result.
Last but certainly not least, the universal appeal of brownies transcends cultural and geographical boundaries, making them a beloved dessert worldwide. From the gooey-centered delights of American brownies to the cake-like consistency of their European counterparts, brownies come in a myriad of variations that cater to diverse palates and preferences. No matter where you go, you’re bound to find someone who appreciates the simple pleasure of sinking their teeth into a deliciously decadent brownie.
What you’re going to need:
- Butter
- Cocoa Powder
- White Sugar
- Eggs
- Vanilla Extract
- Salt
- Chocolate Chips
- 8×8 square baking pan
- Parchment Paper
Other than the small pot you melt the butter in, this is a one bowl recipe, which I always love. The less dishes I have to do the better! I highly reccommend baking them in a lightly greased parchment lined baking pan, the first time I made these I skipped the parchment paper, and my brownies stuck to the pan, even though I had greased it very generously. Other than that this recipe is simple and straight forward, but so so delicious! Enjoy!

- Add flour and mix again, finally add the chocolate chips and mix until everything is combined and batter is smooth
